Born in Landelles, France (Normandy) in 1938.
He paints landscapes of his native Normandy, the Atlantic coast of Brittany, Paris, and Venice. His use of gentle colors means his works don't have an immediate, strong impact, but they gradually seep into the heart, evoking a sense of wonder at everyday scenes bathed in soft light.
He began painting in his childhood. His paintings are an expression of "eternal happiness." In his world, everything is enveloped in a gentle, subtle light. His paintings belong to the tradition of French art. Like all Impressionist painters, he expresses the light and shadow of nature, and the emotions it evokes, with delicate touches, sure tonality, and authentic colors. Stepping into Margret's paintings is like taking a walk down a forest path on a summer day.
The beauty of the forms, the fluid tones, and the accents of color are the secrets of his clear paintings. Down to the texture, it is as if one is in a dream world that is both figurative and full of color.
Exhibitions have been held in galleries throughout France, including those in Faubourg Saint-Honoré, a high-end boutique district in Paris. He has received special awards for art, science, and culture.
In Japan, he gained popularity by holding exhibitions at famous department stores such as Mitsukoshi and Daimaru.
