He has been popular in Japan for his numerous oil paintings and prints depicting graceful women in elegant fashion and style. Initially, his works were heavily influenced by Van Dongen, but he gradually began to paint his own unique portrayal of graceful women.

Born in Paris in 1935

He studied at the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris in the 1950s.

In 1964, he was discovered by a Japanese gallery.

1965: Started producing lithographs.

Cassignole's popularity increased in Japan in the late 1980s.
