Collection: Jean-Michel Atlan
Born in Algeria in 1913, Jean-Michel Atlan was one of the leading artists of the "New School of Paris" who rose to prominence in postwar Paris. He is known for his unique abstract expression through thick, swirling black lines and organic forms, depicting a world reminiscent of fantastical animals and plants. In the 1950s, he gained high acclaim in France, Japan, and the States. He passed away in Paris in 1960.
