Collection: Jean Godin

Jean Godin was born in Angers, France, on the banks of the Loire River in 1943. He graduated from the National School of Fine Arts in Angers. His works are collected by the Aime Museum and many municipalities, and he is a representative painter of the contemporary French art world, having won numerous awards, including the French Artists Association Prize. As the great masters of the 20th century have passed, Godin's brilliance continues to grow. Godin's elegant paintings are loved in Europe, America, and the Middle East. Godin creates a delicate and poetic world that goes beyond the vision of everyday life. In his fantastical world, fairies fly about and his poetic sentiments emanate. Godin is far removed from the geometric and strict composition of the Cubists, and he gracefully paints his fantasies in harmony with nature. In Japan, his works were exhibited at Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi Main Store in 2012, and have since been sold at famous department stores.
