He is a representative painter of the contemporary French art scene, whose works are housed in art museums and municipalities, and who has won numerous awards. Godard's brilliance has grown as the 20th-century masters have departed. Godard's dignified paintings are loved in Europe, America, and the Middle East. Godard creates a delicate, poetic world that transcends everyday vision. In his fantastical world, fairies flutter about, and his poetic sentiments emanate. Godard is far removed from the geometric and rigorous compositions of the Cubists, harmonizing with nature to elegantly depict his fantasies.
Born in Angers, on the banks of the Loire River in France, in 1943. Graduated from the National Higher School of Fine Arts in Angers. Awarded numerous prizes, including the French Artists Association Award. His works are housed in museums such as the Musée d'Aimé. He regularly holds exhibitions at galleries throughout Europe and in America. In Japan, his works were exhibited at Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi Main Store in 2012, and since then, they have been handled by famous department stores.
