He is a leading figure in contemporary French painting, with works housed in museums and municipalities, and numerous awards. As the great masters of the 20th century fade, Godin's brilliance shines ever brighter. His paintings, with their sophisticated style, are beloved in Europe, America, and the Middle East. Godin creates a delicate and poetic world that transcends everyday vision. In his fantastical world, fairies flit about, and his poetic sensibilities emanate. Far from the geometric and strict compositions of the Cubists, Godin harmoniously depicts his fantasies with elegance.
Born in Angers, on the banks of the Loire River in France, in 1943. Graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts d'Angers. Recipient of numerous awards, including the Société des Artistes Français Award. The Musée d'Art et d'Histoire d'Aime, among others, houses his works. Regular exhibitions are held in galleries across Europe and in America. In Japan, his works were exhibited at Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi Main Store in 2012, and have since been handled by famous department stores.
