He is a leading figure in contemporary French painting, with his works collected by museums and local governments, and numerous awards to his name. Godin's dignified paintings are cherished in Europe, America, and the Middle East. Godin creates a delicate and poetic world that transcends everyday vision. In his fantastical world, fairies flit about, and his poetic sensibilities emanate. Godin is far removed from the geometric and rigid compositions of the Cubists, harmoniously depicting his fantasies with grace.

Born in Angers, on the banks of the Loire River in France, in 1943. Graduated from the École Supérieure d'Art d'Angers. Recipient of numerous awards, including the Société des Artistes Français Prize. His works are collected by museums such as the Musée d'Aix. He holds regular exhibitions in galleries throughout Europe and in American galleries. In Japan, his works were exhibited at Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi Main Store in 2012 and have since been handled by famous department stores.
