He is a leading figure in contemporary French painting, with works housed in museums and municipalities, and numerous awards. As the great masters of the 20th century fade away, Godin's brilliance shines ever brighter. His dignified paintings are loved in Europe, America, and the Middle East. Godin creates a delicate and poetic world beyond everyday vision. In his fantastical world, fairies flit about and his poetic spirit radiates. Godin is far removed from the geometric and strict compositions of the Cubists, and harmoniously paints his fantasies with grace.

Born in Angers, on the banks of the Loire River, France, in 1943. Graduated from the National School of Fine Arts in Angers. Received numerous awards, including the French Artists' Association Award. His works are held in museums such as the Musée d'Eymoutiers. He holds regular exhibitions in galleries across Europe and in American galleries, and in Japan, his works were exhibited at Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi Main Store in 2012, and have since been handled by famous department stores.
