Godin is a leading painter in the contemporary French art world, whose works are collected by museums and local governments, and who has received numerous awards. As the masters of the 20th century fade away, Godin's brilliance shines even brighter. His elegant paintings are beloved in Europe, America, and the Middle East. Godin creates a delicate and poetic world that transcends everyday visions. In his fantastical world, fairies flit about, and his poetic sensibilities emanate. Godin is far removed from the geometric and strict compositions of the Cubists, harmonizing with nature to gracefully depict his fantasies.
Born in Angers, on the banks of the Loire River, France, in 1943. Graduated from the National School of Fine Arts in Angers. Received numerous awards, including the French Artists' Association Award. His works are collected by museums such as the Musée d'Amiens. Regular exhibitions are held in galleries across Europe and in American galleries. In Japan, his works were exhibited at Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi Main Store in 2012 and have since been handled by famous department stores.
