He is a representative painter of the contemporary French art scene, whose works are housed in museums and local governments, and who has received numerous awards. As the masters of the 20th century fade away, Godin's brilliance shines ever brighter. His elegant paintings are loved in Europe, America, and the Middle East. Godin creates a delicate and poetic world that transcends everyday vision. In his fantastical world, fairies flit about, and his poetic sensibility radiates. Godin is far removed from the geometric and rigorous compositions of the Cubists, harmonizing with nature to elegantly depict his fantasies.
Born in Angers, on the banks of the Loire River, France, in 1943. Graduated from the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts d'Angers. Received numerous awards, including the Société des Artistes Français Prize. Works are housed in museums such as the Musée d'Aime. Regular exhibitions are held in galleries throughout Europe and in America. In Japan, his works were exhibited at Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi Main Store in 2012, and have since been handled by famous department stores.
