Dolores Cabdevila is an artist born in Argentina and currently based in Canada. She was born in La Carlota, Argentina, in 1966.

After earning a degree in painting from the National University of Cordoba, Argentina, in 1990, she exhibited her work in Argentina and Brazil from 1990 to 1994. This period was crucial for her artistic growth, allowing her to establish her style and gain recognition in the South American art scene.

In 1994, she moved to Germany, marking a turning point in her career. From 1995, she participated in "Contemporary Latin American Art," a group exhibition at Casino Tübingen, and "Art in Tübingen" at Kunsthalle Tübingen, expanding her recognition in Europe.

In 1999, she participated in the exhibition "Ausgesucht - 6 x 1" at Peters-Barenbrock Gallery in Berlin and Ahrenshoop. In 2002, she took part in the group exhibition "10 Years Peters-Barenbrock Gallery" in Berlin, establishing her presence in the German art scene.

In 2004, she moved to Canada and continued her work in North America. She held an exhibition at Bongart Gallery in Hannover. In 2005, she participated in "Gifted," a group exhibition at Bowen Island Art Gallery in Vancouver, and was also invited to the "Florence Biennale of Contemporary Art."

2006 was an active year for both solo and group exhibitions, including "The Secret Garden" (Bowen Island Gallery), "Retrospective" (West Vancouver Library), and "Harmony Art Festival" (Vancouver Ferry Building Gallery). She was once again invited to the Florence Biennale of Contemporary Art and also participated in "art.fair" in Cologne.

In 2007, she continued to participate in international art events such as "art.fair" in Cologne and "Art Karlsruhe."

Her work is deeply influenced by her childhood memories and sensations in Argentina. Exploring the theme of light and shadow, she delves into expressions reminiscent of the light, shadows, scents, and secrets of her childhood garden. Through her work, Dolores attempts a "return to lost time," expressing a connection with the past. Her art invites viewers on a journey of introspection, offering an experience that explores memory and emotion.
