A representative painter from the Ecole de Paris, born in Barcelona. He participated in the Surrealist movement in Paris and was heavily influenced by it, but instead of long and thin works, he created his own unique object shapes and created his own unique world of abstract paintings that are fun to listen to. In addition to painting and prints, he expanded his activities to ceramics, sculpture, outdoor sculpture and murals, and is counted among the greatest artists of the 20th century.

1926 : Set decoration for the Russian Ballet's Romeo and Juliet
1930 Solo exhibitions in Paris, Brussels, and New York. Produced his first lithograph.
1931 : Exhibition of sculptures and objects at a gallery in Paris

Since then, he has established a reputation and renown as a world-class painter, with retrospective exhibitions held in western Japan and his work included in museum collections around the world.
1954 : A retrospective was held at the Kaiser Wellerfeld Museum in Germany.
1960 : Created a ceramic mural at Harvard University
1962 : A major retrospective was held at the Musée National d'Art Moderne in Paris.
1966 : Came to Japan for a major retrospective exhibition in Tokyo and Kyoto
1967 : Miro's murals are installed at the Guggenheim Museum in New York
In 1973 , he held a solo exhibition of sculptures and ceramics at the Saint-Paul de Vinsmerg Foundation. The exhibition "The Miro Collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York" was held at the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
1975 The Joan Miró Foundation - Centre for Contemporary Art Studies, designed by José Luis Sert, opens in Montjuïc Park in Barcelona.
In 1979 , a retrospective of paintings, sculpture, drawings and watercolors was held at the Maeght Foundation.
In 1983 , the exhibition "Joan Miró : Anys20 ", featuring paintings from the 1920s , was held at the Fundació Miró in Barcelona . He passed away at his home in Palma de Mallorca.
The Joan Miró Museum in Barcelona has a collection of over 10,000 works, and works are included in museums around the world, including the Pompidou Center in Paris and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
