Nicole Clement <Garden Scene> Pastel 30x30cm

Born in 1943 near Paris. A pastel painter. Traveling between his family's ancestral Château de Chapel Bertrand in the Perche region and his atelier in Paris, he paints rural landscapes near Paris and in the Perche region. He uses changes in color to define form, rather than outlines, and fills the canvas with bright light. He is vice-president of the "Dessin et Peinture à l'Eau" exhibition held annually at the Grand Palais in Paris, and president of the Salon de Colombes exhibition near Paris.

In 1984, he received the Pastel Gold Medal at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris, among many other awards.
