Born in Paris in 1908, he published cartoons in magazines and newspapers such as le rire (Laughs), France Dimanche (French Sunday), and Ici Paris (Here in Paris), and his talent was recognized at a young age.
He also works on illustrations for literary works and stage sets for plays and ballets. He has won the Grand Prix at the International Comics Festival, the Gold Medal of the City of Paris, and other awards. He has been awarded the Order of Arts and Letters by the French Republic.
