In 1985, the Peynet Museum was built in Karuizawa, and Raymond Peynet and his wife were invited to Japan for the opening. The Peynet Museum is located in a cultural park called Taliesin in Karuizawa. It is about 3km from Karuizawa Station on the south side, opposite the north exit where Karuizawa Ginza is located, also known as the old Karuizawa.

It stands beside a small lake called Lake Shiozawa. The museum is housed in a summer house built by Czech artist Anton Raymond. As the name suggests, it is a cool wooden building by the water. At the entrance to the museum, there is a sign depicting Peynet's lovers and a bronze statue of Peynet's lovers, making it clear that it is a museum.

Peynet's sketches, opaque watercolors, pen drawings, original prints, posters, etc. are displayed here and there on the wooden walls. The exhibits have improved considerably since I exhibited at Gallery Vingt de France, which specializes in French paintings, at Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza. Various events are also planned, making it a fun museum.

Taliesin is run by the staff of Fujimaki-san, the friendly vice president, Shimizu-san, the talented planner, and Aoyama-san, the enthusiastic Peinet staff member, who brainstorm ideas together to continually raise the standard of the museum.
