His geometric cubist works are painted from a variety of perspectives, and he is considered one of the founders of Cubism along with Picasso.

He was born in Argenteuil, a suburb of Paris, in 1882 and grew up in Le Havre.

1897-1899: Worked as a painter and studied at the Le Havre School of Fine Arts.

1902 - Attended art school in Paris.

He was influenced by Matisse, Cezanne and Picasso.

1909 - World War I: Started working with Picasso and produced many Cubist works.

He resumed painting in 1917, but moved away from geometrical works and began to paint colorful still lifes.

Died in Paris in 1963

His works are in the collections of famous museums around the world, including the Pompidou Museum in Paris, the Museum of Modern Art of the City of Paris, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Guggenheim Museum , etc.
