SAEGUSA Hiroko

Hiroko Saigusa's works are a unique painting expression that merges the traditional Japanese aesthetic of "wabi-sabi" with the action painting of contemporary art. She creates a world where "motion" and "stillness" coexist, leaving quiet empty spaces within the powerful colors and brushstrokes born from bodily movement.With the spirit of Urasenke tea ceremony as her background, she aims to deliver peace and healing through her works. Her activities overseas have also been remarkable, including a solo exhibition titled "WABI SABI IN ACTION" curated by Kyoko Sato at Gallery 60 NYC in New York in 2024.
