About the artwork

"Clown" is a striking silkscreen print that combines Victor Vasarely's vibrant sense of color and sophisticated geometric composition from his later years.

The geometric forms, unfolding within a vertical format, create a light rhythm and visual dynamism through strong color contrasts and precise composition. Subtle variations within the regular structure imbue the work with a humorous and lively motion.

The visual illusions characteristic of Op Art, which Vasarely pursued, are vividly present in this work. The flat shapes evoke a sense of depth and appear to constantly change with the viewer's gaze, forming a unique space where stillness and motion, order and playfulness coexist.
