Raymond Peynet was the most popular illustrator in 20th-century France, with several museums dedicated to his work in France and Japan. He depicted the love between couples, always surrounded by small animals, trees, and flowers. Peynet's works convey messages of love and peace, and his empathy for small animals and plants leads to environmental protection. In Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, a sculpture of Peynet's lovers is placed as a symbol of world peace. This print was produced in France in 1985 as part of a series. Of course, it is new. It is sold out even in France, and only second-hand items appear on the market. Please refer to the following website for information on Peynet's museums.

[Artwork Description]

The party is full of excitement. Men and women gathered on the clouds are absorbed in acts of love. Their faces are flushed pink, and their eyes are enchanted and feeling wonderful. A man's hand on a woman's breast, another man's hand reaching for a woman's bottom, couples passionately embracing, two people with their lips pressed together. It is truly a paradise for lovers. Countless hearts fly around the lovers. A pair of doves are also embracing. An angel seems to be screaming, overwhelmed by the heat. Below the clouds, there is a town of old buildings, with dome roofs and spires visible. Western culture seems to value the word "passion."

Galerie Adekat Yasuhiro Takeda

Galerie Adekat purchased 5,000 copies around 1992 from Mr. Alexandre Tocart, the nephew of Mr. Murret, Peynet's publisher (who collaborated with Raymond Peynet to produce Raymond Peynet's prints, which Raymond Peynet then signed by hand), and the representative of Editions des Cercles, the French distributor of the prints.

Galerie Adekat operated Galerie Vent de France at Karuizawa Prince Hotel for 20 years from 1995 to 2015, establishing a close relationship with the Peynet Museum in Karuizawa. To foster exchange between the Karuizawa Peynet Museum and the Raymond Peynet and Humorous Artists Museum in Antibes, southern France, Galerie Adekat sent representatives from the Karuizawa Peynet Museum to continue exchanges with the Antibes Peynet Museum and Raymond Peynet's daughter, Annie Peynet.

Raymond Peynet's artistic world depicts a paradise where small animals and plants coexist happily, centered around the love of lovers. In the 21st century, with its environmental destruction and ongoing wars, Raymond Peynet's paintings of love and peace seem to be a message for our time. We hope that you will be touched by Raymond Peynet's world of peace, love, and gentle nature, and that it will foster in your heart a sense of peace, love, and care for nature, animals, and plants, our fellow inhabitants of Earth.
