Raymond Peynet was the most popular illustrator in 20th-century France, with multiple museums dedicated to his work in France and Japan. He depicted the love between sweethearts, always surrounded by small animals, trees, and flowers. Peynet's works convey a message of love and peace, and his empathy for small animals and plants leads to environmental protection. In Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, a sculpture of Peynet's lovers is displayed as a symbol of world peace. This print was produced as a series in France in 1985. Of course, it is brand new. It is sold out in France, with only used items appearing on the market. For information on Peynet's museums, please refer to the following websites.

【Artwork Description】
A man sitting on a park bench, weary of waiting for her, has started divining with angel feathers. He repeatedly consults the feathers to determine "Will she come or not?" and "Does she love me or not?", until the area under the bench is filled with angel feathers. The first angel has lost most of its feathers and is crying. The second angel's feathers are also significantly depleted. Yet, the angels seem to bless the lovers. Angel feathers grow back after being plucked. The poet, while helping the angels grow new feathers, is also divining. Just as sheep's wool grows back new and clean after shearing, angel feathers also regrow. In a few months, one will encounter angels with new feathers. She, in her stylish pink attire, is already on her way.

Galerie Adekat purchased 5,000 copies of Raymond Peynet's prints around 1992 from Alexandre Tocquard, the nephew of Mr. Muré, Peynet's publisher (who co-produced Peynet's prints with him and had Peynet sign them himself), and the representative of the French distributor (Éditions du Cercle).
