Raymond Peynet is the most popular illustrator in 20th century France, with multiple museums in France and Japan. His works depict the love between couples, always surrounded by small animals and plants, conveying a message of love and peace. His empathy for small animals and plants leads to environmental protection. In Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, a sculpture of Peynet's lovers is placed as a symbol of world peace. This print was produced in France in 1985 as part of a series. Of course, it is new. It is sold out even in France, and only second-hand items are available on the market. For information on Peynet's museums, please see the following website.

 【Artwork description】

A couple is sitting on a sofa indoors. The woman is wearing fishnet stockings, making her sexy. Her soft breast milk is exposed from the top of her dress. The man is inserting a heart between her breasts. Both must be passionate. Their faces are flushed pink. The pink color resonates beautifully with the pink stripes of the sofa. The flowers at the four corners of the kiosk musician's painting decorating the wall, and the heart of the kiosk, resonate with the same pink. It is a symmetrical composition that Peynet favors. The houseplants on both sides, the sofa, and the kiosk painting are all symmetrical, and their center lines overlap with the center line of this painting. The lovers are also in a symmetrical composition.

Galerie Adekat Yasuhiro Takeda

Around 1992, Galerie Adekat purchased 5,000 copies from Alexandre Toccard, the nephew of Mr. Muret, Raymond Peynet's publisher (who collaborated with Raymond Peynet to produce Raymond Peynet's prints, which Raymond Peynet personally signed), and the representative of Editions des Cercles, the French distributor of the prints.

Galerie Adekat managed Galerie Ventes de France at Karuizawa Prince Hotel for 20 years from 1995 to 2015, and therefore had a close relationship with the Peynet Museum in Karuizawa. To promote exchange between the Karuizawa Peynet Museum and the Raymond Peynet and Humorous Painters Museum in Antibes, southern France, Galerie Adekat was dispatched by the Karuizawa Peynet Museum and continues to interact with the Peynet Museum in Antibes and Raymond Peynet's daughter, Annie Peynet.

Raymond Peynet's artistic world depicts a paradise where small animals and plants happily coexist, centered on the love of couples. In the 21st century, with its environmental destruction and ongoing wars, Raymond Peynet's paintings of love and peace can be seen as a message to the present day. We hope that by experiencing Raymond Peynet's world of peace, love, and gentle nature, you will cultivate a heart that values peace, love, and nature, animals, and plants, our fellow inhabitants of Earth.
