He was one of the greatest, most prolific, and creative painters of the 20th century, producing paintings, prints, ceramics, and sculptures. The Picasso Museums in Madrid, Paris, and Antibes, and the Ludwig Museum in Cologne house many of Picasso's works, and many museums vied to acquire his pieces. His style changed over time, influenced by African sculpture, leading to the birth of Cubism.
