Artwork Description
French abstract painter Jacqueline Debutler is known for her sophisticated abstract expression through color and geometric composition. In this piece, a horizontally expanding band-like composition orders the canvas, creating a delicate spatial relationship between flatness and depth. Soft gradients of blue and green pastels bring a quiet rhythm and translucence, while black and white accents tighten the overall image. Through the overlapping colors and structural composition, the aesthetic of geometric abstraction seen in post-war French abstract art is expressed.
