Explanation of the artwork: 250×320×275cm, Materials: Ink wash drawing, digital coloring and composition, color printing, LED.
This is an immersive installation space, covered on all four sides with jungle patterns. A single dark blue bird spreads its wings and flies through a cluster of crimson leaves that spread out as if descending from the ceiling. Butterflies, caterpillars, and small creatures are scattered everywhere in the shade of the leaves, and flowers and vines proliferate on the walls, pressing in on the viewer from all directions. Motifs of flora and fauna, originally drawn with ink wash lines, are digitally colored and recomposed, then illuminated by LED lights, emerging from the darkness. This transforms the space into an experience of a hallucinatory abundance of life, different from the quiet contemplation of a drawing on paper. As one proceeds deeper into the exhibition, the colors sink more profoundly, and viewers experience a sensation as if being drawn into the depths of a dense jungle, a place permeated only by the presence of living things.
