78x150x60cm Pig (Cochon) Materials: Styrofoam (mousse), plaster, sumi-e ink on gesso
A life-sized pig, clad in black and white dappled patterns, stands quietly on a pedestal. The unique production method involves building up a styrofoam core with plaster and finishing it with sumi-e ink on a gesso base, translating drawing techniques into three dimensions. Some of the black斑紋 (spots) on the body surface open up into soft-edged windows, revealing flowing waterfalls in valleys, lush plants, and patterns resembling ripe fruits. This work expands the motif of "a microcosm within the body," cultivated on two-dimensional paper, into the volumetric form of sculpture, representing a new step for Ambroise & Victor from two-dimensional to three-dimensional expression.
