This is a description of a 90×70cm piece, "Colored Ink (encre de couleur) on Paper."
This piece stands apart from previous ink wash animal paintings with its vibrant colors. Orange, vermilion, and pink branches diagonally traverse the canvas, dotted with fluffy spherical blossoms and tiny buds. In the background, concentric ripples of bluish hues spread in layers, quietly resonating with the dynamism of the branches and leaves, as if capturing even unseen vibrations and presences within the composition. Ambroise&Victor, who previously depicted "microcosms within the body" with monochrome ink wash, now use color and a cyclical composition to portray the cycle of seasons and the very energy of nascent life. Among the themes of the four seasons and the cycle of life in the "Intérieurs" exhibition, this piece is the most direct and brilliant embodiment of sprouting and rebirth.
