Ambroise & Victor "The Companion"

Here is a description of a 200x200cm tufted piece made from merino wool.

Across an octagonal tapestry, a black silhouette of a dog (or fox) walks quietly over a hill-like rise. The screen is clearly divided in two by a diagonal line; on one side, flame-like flickers of red and crimson swirl, while on the other, a sun (or moon) radiates yellow and white light. Between these two opposing forces—the sensation of burning and the quietly filling light—this black figure moves without hesitation. Precisely because it is an ambiguous creature without clear contours, it can be seen as a mirror reflecting the memories and stories of each beholder. As the title "Comrade" suggests, this piece is both a guardian illuminating the path and an alter ego shadowing it, quietly symbolizing the journey of life itself, walking between light and shadow.
