Manuel Luballot paints landscapes of Brittany, Provence, Venice, Paris, and other places. His landscapes sway between reality and fantasy. When he paints Venice or Paris, the fantasy is closer to a bygone era such as the Middle Ages than to the present. One is seized by a mysterious sensation, as if the Middle Ages had suddenly intruded into a modern space. His imagination and technique, which allow opposing elements to harmoniously coexist on the same canvas, are backed by his extraordinary talent. He regularly holds solo exhibitions at famous galleries in France and famous department stores in Japan.
