Born in Landelles, Normandy, France in 1938.

He paints landscapes of his native Normandy, the Atlantic coast of Brittany, Paris, and Venice. His gentle use of color may not create an immediate, strong impact, but his works gradually seep into the heart, evoking a sense of wonder at everyday scenes bathed in soft light.

He began painting in his childhood. His art expresses "eternal happiness." In his world, everything is enveloped in a gentle, subtle light. His paintings belong to the tradition of French art. Like all Impressionist painters, he uses delicate touches, sure tones, and authentic colors to express natural light and shadow, and the emotions that nature evokes. Entering a Margray painting is like taking a stroll down a forest path on a summer day.

The beauty of his forms, the fluid tones, and the accents of color are the secrets behind his clear paintings. Down to the texture, his works are figurative and fill us with a dream-like world of color.

He has held exhibitions at galleries throughout France, including those in Faubourg Saint-Honoré, a high-end boutique district in Paris. He is a recipient of a special award for arts, science, and culture.

In Japan, he has gained popularity through exhibitions at famous department stores such as Mitsukoshi and Daimaru.
