He was one of the greatest and most prolific painters of the 20th century, producing paintings, prints, ceramics, sculptures, etc. There are Picasso museums in Madrid, Paris, and Antibes, and the Ludwig Museum in Cologne also has many Picasso works in its collection. His style changed over the years as museums around the world competed to acquire his works, and he was influenced by African sculptures, which led to the development of Cubism.

 

Born in Malaga, Spain in 1881

He showed talent from an early age and began painting oil paintings at the age of eight.

1892 : Entered the La Coruna School of Fine Arts

His father, an art teacher and curator, was amazed at his son Pablo Picasso's incredible talent, so he gave him his own oil painting tools and stopped painting himself.

1895 Entered the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona

1897 Entered the Royal School of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid

1900 : Moved to Paris

1901 : Paris art dealer Vollard holds Picasso's first solo exhibition

1901-1904 : The Blue Period

1904 : Settled in a laundry house in Montmartre, Paris

 He passed away near Nice, France in 1973.
