Jean Godin is a representative painter of the contemporary French art world, with his works collected by museums and local governments and receiving numerous awards. As the great masters of the 20th century have passed, Godin's brilliance continues to grow. His elegant paintings are loved in Europe, America, and the Middle East. Godin creates delicate and poetic worlds that go beyond the vision of everyday life. In his fantastical world, fairies fly about and his poetic sentiments emanate. Godin is far removed from the geometric and strict compositions of the Cubists, and he paints his fantasies with grace in harmony with nature.

Born in Angers on the banks of the Loire River, France in 1943. Graduated from the National School of Fine Arts in Angers. Received numerous awards, including the French Artists Association Prize, and his works are held in the collections of museums such as the Aime Museum. His works are regularly exhibited in galleries throughout Europe and the United States, and in Japan, his works were exhibited at the Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi main store in 2012, after which they are sold in famous department stores.
