Nicole Clement <May Sunshine> Pastel No. 5

Born in 1943 near Paris. A pastel painter. Dividing her time between the Château de Chapelle-Bertrand, inherited from her ancestors in the Perche region, and her studio in her Paris home, she paints the rural landscapes of the Parisian suburbs and the Perche region. She uses no outlines, expressing forms through variations in color. She fills the canvas with bright light. She is the Vice President of the "Salon du Dessin et de la Peinture à l'Eau" (Drawing and Watercolor Exhibition) held annually at the Grand Palais in Paris, and President of the "Salon de Colombes" in the Parisian suburbs.

In 1984, she won the Pastel Gold Medal at the Paris City Exhibition, among many other awards.
