Jean Godin is a representative painter of the contemporary French art world, with his works collected by art museums and local governments and many awards. His elegant paintings are loved in Europe, America, and the Middle East. Godin creates a delicate and poetic world that goes beyond the vision of everyday life. In his fantastical world, fairies fly about and his poetic sentiments emanate. Godin is far removed from the geometric and strict composition of the Cubists, and gracefully depicts his fantasies in harmony with nature. Born in Angers on the banks of the Loire River in 1943. Graduated from the National School of Fine Arts in Angers. Received many awards, including the French Artists Association Prize. His works are collected by the Aime Museum and other art galleries. His regular exhibitions are held in galleries throughout Europe and the United States, and in Japan, his works were exhibited at Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi Main Store in 2012, after which they have been sold at famous department stores.
